I grew up in a small town in central MN (Go Vikings!). After graduating college, I lived in Ghana, West Africa working as a teacher in the Peace Corps teaching math and science to secondary school students. Upon returning to the states I entered law school and received my J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law (NOTE: I am not giving too many dates — they just age me and it ain’t pretty!). Before entering the ministry I practiced law and worked as a trial lawyer.
In 1996 I was ‘born again’ and later entered seminary, receiving my Master of Divinity from The Master’s Institute in Saint Paul, MN, in 2003. Before joining the staff at Shepherd of the Lakes I served as Associate Pastor at American Evangelical Church in Prescott, AZ.
Aside from Jesus, the other love of my life is my family- Bryan, Chuck, Nicholas, Carrie Jo, Benta and Baby Elin.
